Key Concepts

Organization

Your institution as a whole. Each organization gets its own subdomain (e.g., your-school.acalumi.com) and can be customized with your branding, logo, and colors.

Branch

A physical campus or location within your organization. Single-campus schools have one branch. Multi-campus institutions can manage multiple branches from the same dashboard.

Each branch has its own:

  • Students and teachers
  • Classes and timetables
  • Contact information and address
  • Branch code (e.g., SV-JNR, SV-KRM)

Class

A group of students in a specific grade and section (e.g., "Class 10-A"). Classes have:

  • A grade level (e.g., Grade 10)
  • A section (e.g., Section A)
  • An assigned class teacher
  • A list of subjects with subject teachers
  • A timetable with period-by-period schedule
  • A student roster

Exam

An assessment that you create, configure, and assign to one or more classes. Exams can include multiple question types, time limits, passing marks, and auto-grading for objective questions.

Question Bank

A shared library of questions organized by subject, topic, and difficulty. Questions can be reused across multiple exams and shared across branches.
