Question Bank

Q: What question types are available? Seven types: MCQ, True/False, Fill-in-Blanks, Essay, Matching, Matrix, and Hotspot. MCQ is available on all tiers; other types require Basic tier or above. See Question Types Reference.

Q: Can I import questions from a spreadsheet? Yes. Go to Question Bank > Import. Download the CSV template, fill in your questions, and upload. See CSV Import Formats.

Q: Are questions shared across branches? Yes. The question bank is organization-wide. Questions marked as "Org-wide" are available to all branches.

Q: Can I use the same question in multiple exams? Yes. Questions in the bank can be added to any number of exams. Changing a question in the bank does not affect exams that already include it.

Exams

Q: What's the difference between Draft and Published? Draft exams are being prepared - not visible to students, fully editable. Published exams are live - visible to assigned students, limited editing.

Q: How do I assign an exam to a class? From the exam details page, click the Assign icon. Select the class(es) and set the date range. Students in those classes will see the exam in their exam list.

Q: Can students retake an exam? Yes, if you set Maximum Attempts greater than 1 in the exam settings. The best or latest score is used (configurable).

Q: How does negative marking work? Enable negative marking in exam settings. You can configure the deduction amount per wrong answer (e.g., -0.25 marks per wrong MCQ answer).

Q: Can I shuffle questions so each student sees a different order? Yes. Enable Shuffle Questions and/or Shuffle Options in the exam settings.

Grading

Q: Which questions are auto-graded? MCQ, True/False, Fill-in-Blanks, Matching, Matrix, and Hotspot are auto-graded. Essay questions require manual grading.

Q: How do I grade essay questions? Go to Grading, click on a submission, find the essay question, enter marks (0 to max), and provide written feedback. See Grading Overview.

Q: Can I override an auto-graded score? Yes. Open the submission and manually adjust the marks for any question, including auto-graded ones.

Q: When do students see their results? Depends on the Result Visibility setting in the exam configuration. Options: immediately after submission, after all grading is complete, or after a specific date.
